Is she crazy, or are you a misogynist? Find out in “Bless Your Heart,” a short dance film exploring how the Western world’s systemic repression of female negative emotions such as anger, sorrow, dissatisfaction, and disgust only perpetuates misogynistic stereotyping by enforcing a societal pressure on women to perform feminine perfectionism at the expense of their mental wellbeing, self-perception, and individual identity.

My name is Rupa Kingston and I am from Ilyichevsk, Ukraine. I am a double major in World Arts and Cultures and Anthropology. After graduation, I will be staying in Los Angeles and working on building my dance company, The Kingston Company.
