Through English and ASL poetry, Are You Listening? is a reflection on my experiences as a hearing person that have led me to the question of how institutions of higher education can serve as a space to foster allyship with the Deaf community.

My name is Molly Vendig and I am from Northeast LA. I am a World Arts and Cultures major and Global Health minor. After graduation, I will be working as an EMT and taking classes in preparation to earn a masters in nursing to become a midwife.
